Local Poker Enthusiast Jerry Lopez Wins Big at 2nd Annual David Fletcher Charity Poker Tournament, Celebrates Unforgettable On-Field Experience with Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Star, David Fletcher
[Anaheim, CA] - Summer Harvest, a non-profit organization committed to providing nutritious food to families in need, proudly announces Jerry Lopez of Orange, CA, as the grand prize winner of the 2nd Annual David Fletcher Charity Poker Tournament. Mr. Lopez, a lifelong Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim fan and supporter of Summer Harvest, won the coveted grand prize, an exclusive on-field experience with David Fletcher of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
Jerry Lopez, along with his wife Lety Lopez, attended the Rangers vs. Angels game on September 26, 2023, courtesy of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and enjoyed a memorable on-field experience. The couple's daughters, Siena and Gianna Lopez, joined them in this unforgettable adventure. The entire family had the opportunity to meet David Fletcher in person, creating cherished memories they will treasure forever.
In addition to this unique experience, Jerry Lopez was presented with a custom TravisMathew embroidered jacket, a fitting token of his victory at the charity poker tournament. His family, avid Angels fans themselves, found it especially thrilling that their father's participation in the tournament combined his two great passions: poker and philanthropy, specifically supporting Summer Harvest's mission.
Summer Harvest is dedicated to providing healthy and nutritious food to families with children in need, a cause that has become even more critical given the ongoing challenges posed by food insecurity. The organization relies on the support of donors and participants to carry out its mission effectively. Summer Harvest provides support in the Cypress, Los Alamitos, and Fountain Valley communities. Donations to support Summer Harvest's work can be made at www.summerharvest.us.
Jerry's daughters, Siena and Gianna Lopez, shared their initial disbelief at their father's tournament victory. However, their doubt transformed into delight when they received a photograph of their father alongside David Fletcher. The moment he shared a picture holding the tournament's first-place trophy, their excitement knew no bounds. The Lopez family has a long history of participating in events with the Angels organization, including the brain tumor walk for Hoag and their memorable rendition of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" during the 7th inning stretch in 2017.
Looking ahead, Jerry Lopez is eager to defend his title at the 3rd Annual David Fletcher Charity Poker Tournament benefiting Summer Harvest. The event is scheduled for Friday, January 19, 2024, at Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach.
